Project Description:
Dallas Love Field has undergone a major renovation and expansion program. The existing terminal building (originally designed by Jack Corgan) opened in 1958 and saw tremendous expansion throughout the 1960s and early 70s. Love Field is the headquarters and home base for the world's original and largest low cost carrier, Southwest Airlines.
I worked on Phase 2 of the Modernization program. This involved expanding the existing ticketing hall and connecting the airport to a new parking garage.
Roles and responsibilities:
Designed and coordinated Phase 2 space planning of the Modernization of Love Field Airport.
Executed and prepared schematic design drawings for a parking expansion project.
Documented site conditions and proposing new designs for reallocating office-spaces and enabling continued operations as the airport was being upgraded.
